The Inconvenient Religion

I was going to say that every once in a while the secular progressive “multiculturalists” let slip their true agenda, but heck, they let slip all the time.  They just can’t help themselves.

A battle over religion is brewing in central Indiana after a public school wanted second graders to sing a song declaring, “Allah is God.” The phrase was removed just before the performance after a national conservative group launched a protest.

The principal of Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN, said they were trying to teach inclusiveness through their holiday production. It included references to Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa. However, no other deity, other than Allah, was referenced in the show.

Here’s what the children were assigned to sing:

“Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying ‘til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through.”

But when it came time to perform the “Christian” part of Christmas, children were assigned to say:

“I didn’t know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I’m not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I’d like to know exactly what he (sic) say.

So let us clarify then.  Allah is all well and good, and Ramadan is cool too?  Ok.  But when the “christian” part of the song comes around it’s just about some generic “boy” nobody’s even really sure is there?  Surely just an innocent oversight.  Or perhaps they just didn’t want to run afoul of that whole separation of church and state business.  That must be it.  Well then never mind!

Although it seems some of the parents were having none of it, and were determined to play the roll of scrooge:

“What surprised me here is that we’ve had a secular scrubbing of Christmas for so long and the school apparently didn’t see the problem with kids singing to Allah,” he told FOX News Radio. “You won’t even mention Jesus and you’re going to force my child to sing about Allah?

More insanity here.

As you can see, gentle readers, Christianity can be so, hmmm, how shall I say it…inconvenient during the Christmas season, can it not?  Because we aren’t really celebrating Christmas, as it were, we’re actually celebrating “diversity”!  Except in this case a species of diversity where the secular progressives don’t add something to the mix, they’re subtracting it.  The “it” being subtracted, of course, just happens to be Christianity.  Even though it’s Christmas.  Making any sense yet?  And they’re subtracting it in the name of, you guessed it–diversity!  See how easy this is, gentle readers.  “Multiculturalism” in a nutshell.

On a slightly more serious and less snarky note, consider only that our secular progressive friends on the Left have no problem with “Allah” in the schools.  None whatsoever.  But would go all the way to the Supreme Court to prevent the name “Jesus” being uttered at a Christmas celebration.  Now ask yourself why.

If you think I’ve helped clarify things a bit for you, pass this onto a friend.

  1. Spot on! Unbelievable.

  2. I think this example clearly shows that the trajectory of the radical Left really has no real identity when it comes to multiculturalism, it just knows what it doesn’t want to be — Western and Christian.

The cup is bitter but those who value Westernism and heritage of Christianity better drink it to its dregs … there’s a long winter ahead.

  3. Sick. We need to expose these individuals. Who are those who made these decisions.
