Google “Islam” for Fear

Filed under: Islam, Religion — Jesusland @ 16:14

See the difference between this one?

And this one?

In Google, when you type “christianity is” it gives you a drop-down window with charming results like “christianity is bullshit”, and “christianity is fake”, and “christianity is a lie,” etc.

When you type “Islam is”, Google gives you….nothing.

That’s because Islam is…fear.  Why?  Because even the famously Liberal Google is afraid.  Of course, you aren’t allowed to say such things.  Or even think it.  Certainly not if you work at Google.  Here at CCHQ, however,  we are a PC-free zone.

Thanks: Jawa

UPDATE:  FOX NEWS HAS PICKED IT UP.

A Google spokesman explained that the weird absence of results is just a software problem: “This is in fact a bug and we’re working to fix it as quickly as we can.” But the company would not respond to requests for clarification.

An intriguing corollary: Google offers search suggestions for future tense queries as well. Ask “Christianity will” and Google suggests “Christianity will end, it will disappear,” and “Christianity will end.” Ask the same about Islam and Google notes that “Islam will dominate the world” and “Islam will destroy Europe.”

Islam is the only religion that doesn’t get Google’s drop-down window treatment.  But it’s just a “bug”.  Uh huh.  Okies.  I can guarantee you it’s computer code, not a “bug,” which can easily be changed in seconds.  Please let me know, gentle readers, if they’ve fixed that “bug” yet.

Article, here.

UPDATE: Google has stopped censoring the phrase “Islam is..”, here.

  2. If you type in “islam is” into the bing search engine, several choices are available.
    I think I’ll start using bing.com.
