The Swiss suffer “blowback.”
Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi called on Thursday for jihad (holy war) against Switzerland over the ban adopted last year on the construction of minarets in the country.
“It is against unbelieving and apostate Switzerland that jihad ought to be proclaimed by all means,“ Kadhafi said during a speech in the Mediterranean coastal city of Bengazi to mark the birthday of the Muslim Prophet Mohammed.
“Jihad against Switzerland, against Zionism, against foreign aggression is not terrorism,” Kadhafi said.
“Any Muslim around the world who has dealings with Switzerland is an infidel (and is) against Islam, against Mohammed, against God, against the Koran,” the leader told a crowd of thousands in a speech broadcast live on television.
In a November 29 referendum, Swiss voters approved by a margin of 57.5 percent a ban on the construction in their country of minarets, the tower that are a signature part of mosques.
Lybian leader, Muammar khadafi, says terrorism is called for against the Swiss because they refuse to take their dhimmification lying down. He calls the Swiss minaret ban “foreign aggression.” This is the same guy who has already declared Islam’s victory in Europe, here. Perhaps that’s why he also calls the Swiss “apostates”, as if Switzerland were already a part of Dar al-Islam. Of course, the Islamist doesn’t concede to “terrorism”, he calls it “jihad.” But it is terrorism in the name of Islam, nonetheless. That Khadafi has no problem talking like this openly and on mic to his people speaks volumes. In the West, jihad–or so they tell us– is the work of “isolated” nuts. In the middle East, it is mainstream. Yes, mainstream. It has to be, or why else would a Mohammed cartoon be bigger news in the Middle East than this is? Where are the mass protests in the region against Khadafi’s calls for terrorism in the name of their religion? On the contrary, jihad talk in the Middle East is the stuff of high praise. Much like Americans would like to spread freedom and democracy throughout the globe, that’s how they see Dar al-Islam. But apparently there’s nothing to see here. So move along you proles. You probably won’t even be alive to see any of the good stuff going down anyway. But your kids will.
