The Politics of Beauty

Okay, if you don’t see this for what it is (and has been) then you need to get re-acquainted with the battle map.

How convenient that Miss Oklahoma is given a politically charged question that will conveniently expose her to be everything that a good Miss America in the New Liberal Order should not be!

Who gets the the nod? Only the first Arabic (read here Muslim)-American Miss USA of course! Wow, they really are Liberal!

In perhaps a repeat of last year’s contest, Woolard lost the crown after answering a controversial question that may be unpopular with some, but reflects the opinion of the majority of Americans. [What!?]

Woolard lost out to 24-year-old Miss Michigan, Rima Fakih.

Fakih, an Arab-American from Dearborn, Michican took home the crown, despite nearly tripping on her evening gown.

Pageant officials said historical pageant records were not detailed enough to show whether Fakih was the first Arab American, Muslim or immigrant to win the Miss USA title. [Oh, I get it. You ask the Okie the immigration question and then … okay, i get! You get the 3-fer in Fakih. What a deal! You sure couldn’t of scripted this any better. I mean, if it really wasn’t scripted … or, well, you know what I mean.] The pageant started in 1952 as a local bathing suit competition in Long Beach, California.

What I’d really like to know is whether or not the records show if a contestant has ever slipped AND won before …

  1. PC rules the day. Exactly like Carrie Prejean. Stigmatized in public for saying what most people believe and agree with in private. Say the “wrong” thing, and your career is over. That is a message they are more than happy to send. This is how the tiny, fringe cultural elite shapes the wider social landscape. Culture war psy-ops if I ever saw it. Is there anything the Left doesn’t politicize? Seriously, a frikin beauty pageant? WTF.
