Pat Condell on Ground Zero Mosque

If you thought what is happening in Europe could never happen here in America, then it’s time to wake up, says Pat Condell.  Note his commentary on the name “Cordoba”, and on stealth jihad. Lot’s of good stuff here. This is a CCHQ must see.

“How typical of Islam, with its own hair-trigger sensitivity to the slightest imagined insult to do something so arrogant and so insensitive.”

“Islam despises America and what it stands for, including freedom and DIVERSITY.’

  2. Spot on! If it weren’t for the symbolism, I wouldn’t care: I long ago gave up what happens generally in NYC, a.k.a. RodentWorld. (Bloomberg must be getting a special treat for his rearend.) But “Cordoba” is all about that, and therefore it needs to be stopped.

  3. The symbolism is the only reason we actually noticed. The name “Cordoba” wasn’t an accident.

  4. […] calling it “Cordoba”, they have already tipped their hand, I don’t care what they choose to rename this mosque.  Folks, we’ve only got this once […]

  5. Attacking other Americans’ constitutional rights will not go down well.

It’s also kind of stupid to persistently mis-claim that a community center is a “mosque” or that it’s being built at where the WTC used to be.

Unless of course your objective is to start an Islamophobic campaign against American Muslims. In which case, your support of al-Qaida’s objectives and your desire to help them recruit in the US is straightforwardly damaging to national security, making you not just unAmerican in your attack on the Constitution, but also, really, just treacherous.

  6. I’ve yet to see anybody attack their constitutional right to build there.

As far as Islamophobia, Muslims don’t behave as if they’re too concerned about that. Provocation is obviously part of the non-violent jihad agenda. Well, we aren’t being violent either. And non-violence is the ONLY thing you have a right to demand of us.

  7. I’ve yet to see anybody attack their constitutional right to build there.

Read your own posts. They’re full of attacks on their right to build there.

You do realize that their constitutional right to build there isn’t something up in the air? It’s bricks and mortar. You are attacking it, claiming there’s something offensive about a new community center in lower Manhattan because it’s a Muslim center and you are Islamophobic.

As far as Islamophobia, Muslims don’t behave as if they’re too concerned about that

When dealing with people of such psychotic hatred that they object to a community center, it takes courage to act unconcerned. You know some brave Muslims, then.

Well, we aren’t being violent either.

Whipping up hatred against people because of their religion, and you have the chutzpah to claim “oh, we;re not being VIOLENT, we’re just trying to deny them their Constitutional rights and claim that Muslim Americans aren’t “real” Americans?

You would have to be very young, very naive, or very sheltered, to believe that. Start arguing that people are second-class citizens because of their religion, as you are, and if you have any historical awareness at all, you know where that can end. Thousands of Muslims were rounded up in the US and deported, after 9/11, because of their religion. Now the rights of Muslim citizens are under attack.

  8. We’re not “whipping up hatred”, we’re expressing our anger and outrage. Freedom of speech, memba? lol So far all you’ve done on my blog is put words in my mouth and then use your talking points to argue against the screaming racists in your head. Don’t waste my time.

  9. We’re not “whipping up hatred”

Yes, you are. Not a judgement, just a statement of fact.

we’re expressing our anger and outrage

At a public community center being built in Lower Manhattan. That there, by itself, is pretty hateful.

    Freedom of speech, memba?

You’re the one claiming the First Amendment doesn’t apply. Heh. Decided it does, now?

So far all you’ve done on my blog is put words in my mouth

Not at all. I’ve done nothing but respond to what you yourself have been saying. (Admittedly, I can express myself more clearly and intelligently than you can, and you’ve demonstrated several times that you’re really just regurgitating the ideas you’ve been spoon-fed by your political controllers, without having the capacity to think about them.)

    Don’t waste my time.

Your time’s worthless: it can’t be wasted. You have amusement value for me, however.

  10. Nothing you say has any bearing on reality so I’ve pretty much given up on you.

And just a friendly word of advice. You don’t “win” the argument just because you’re the last one to comment on a thread. It’s the quality, not the quantity, that counts.

    Comment by Jesusland — August 25, 2010 @ 14:06

  11. No. I win the argument by being right – and your knowing it.
