Liberal moderator argues with Newt Gingrich on targeted assassinations

At one of the GOP debates, Liberal media rep Scott Pelley forgets he’s just a moderator and tries to argue with Newt Gingrich about the rule of law as applied to enemy combatants (why are Liberals moderating GOP debates?  That is insane).  Mr. Pelley argues these targeted assassinations are “outside of the law” because they are “extra-judicial” and not approved by a judge or jury.  Essentially the same old moral posturing disguised as “constitutional analysis” we’ve come to expect from these Libs for the last ten years.  Mind you, Pelley’s job is to ask questions, not argue with the candidates, but he just can’t help himself.  But this isn’t Herman Cain he’s arguing with, who like most political neophytes isn’t yet sure why/what he believes and has to make it up on the fly.  This is Newt Gingrich, one of the smartest and most experienced players in American politics, and there’s nothing the likes of Pelley can do to intimidate him.  Here Newt reminds Pelley what is (or should be) common sense to the rest of us.  If you want the protections of the U.S. Constitution and civilian courts of law, then you must SUBMIT YOURSELF to them.  Otherwise you are off the reservation and deserve what’s coming to you.

“If you engage in war against the United States, you are an enemy combatant.  You have none of the civil liberties of the United States.

Joe Biden calls Occupy Wall Street RACIST

Filed under: Media Bias, Tea Party — Tags: — Jesusland @ 19:32

Joe Biden a Teabbagger symp?

Joe Biden must be calling Occupy Wall Street racist if he’s comparing them to those RACIST, ANGRY, latently VIOLENT Teabaggers.

Biden likens Occupy Wall Street to tea party

Vice President Joe Biden likened the Occupy Wall Street movement to the tea party at a forum in Washington on Thursday, saying both were driven by middle-class frustration with government bailouts of corporate America.

“What is the core of that protest, and why is it increasing in terms of the people its attracting? The core is that the bargain has been breached with the American people. The core is that the American people do not think the system is fair or on the level,” Biden said at forum sponsored by the Atlantic magazine and the Aspen Institute at the Newseum in Washington.

“There’s a lot in common with the tea party,” Biden said. “The tea party started why? TARP. They thought it was unfair we were bailing out the big guys.”  He cited Bank of American’s new monthly $5 debit card fee as a symbol of public unease.

“Banks are part of the problem in the economy,” he said. “The American people know — they don’t guess, they know — the reason the CEO of the Bank of America, or anybody in that business, is in the business is because they, that guy making 50,000 bucks bailed him out, bailed him out. Put his financial security on the line when his government said we’re gonna come up with a trillion-plus dollars to bail him out.”

Of Bank of America, Biden said, “At a minimum, they are incredibly tone deaf. At a minimum. At a maximum, they are not paying their fair share of the bargain here. And middle-class people are getting killed.”  The vice president’s remarks came shortly before President Obama, at a news conference, was also asked about the progressive protests, which began in New York but have since spread to other cities.

“I think it expresses the frustrations the American people feel, that we had the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression, huge collateral damage all throughout the country … and yet you’re still seeing some of the same folks who acted irresponsibly trying to fight efforts to crack down on the abusive practices that got us into this in the first place,” Obama said.

A Leftist self-reveal here.  When Joe Biden compares the Wall Street protesters to the Tea Party he is basically turning his back on 3 years of hate-filled Democrat narrative about The Tea Party.  He is essentially legitimizing them.  But why?  Joe Biden loves those hippie campers on Wall Street.  And he wants the American people to get behind them too.  He believes they can do for the Democrats in 2012 what the Tea Party did for the GOP in 2010.  Dems hope this can energize their base.  This “endorsement” reveals, that despite the hateful lies and slander his people have been throwing at the Tea Party for the last 3 years, and despite the Liberal media’s attempts to destroy them with slanderous poison about “racism,” that they are legit.  They aren’t the fringy knit caps and alpaca sweater-wearing outliers you’ll see at most Leftist protests who have to be advised by their organizers to “dress normal” lest they alienate mainstream America.  The Tea Party is as Middle-American a social movement as they come.  As genuine a grassroots movement the likes of which this country has not seen since, well, the Boston Tea Party.  Joe Biden is tacitly acknowledging that fact by comparing this mob of bongo-players to the Tea Party hoping some of that mojo will rub off on them.

Violent Communist agitators march on Wall Street

The police have arrested hundreds of violent communist agitators at the Wall Street protests.

What, they aren’t communists driven by a hatred for capitalism, nor violent, you say?  Well I have the photographic evidence, here

and here

to prove that they are.

Just as the Tea Party was primarily motivated by racism because the Liberal media found a few offensive placards to highlight for their evening broadcasts, these rallies are communist.  Not Liberal, nor socialist, nor Democrat, mind you, but COMMUNIST.  You may therefore disregard whatever they have to say about the Wall Street fat cats.  Moreover, they are racist.  Yes, RACIST!  In the clip below we provide hard proof of this racism as they violently drive a BLACK Democrat congressman, Charles Rangel, from the streets.  Libs are so right, this really is a racist country!  Take particular notice of how they have to remind themselves it is a “peaceful” rally lest the violence spiral out of control.

Pay no attention to the fact, however, that nobody (least of all themselves) knows what these Mac-using, latte sipping hippies are protesting about, or even what they want done.  Protesting “greed” and “Wall Street” are not a set of demands that can be negotiated with or bargained for.

Rebel without a clue.

UCLA Professor: Without Media Bias the Average US State Would Vote Like Texas

Liberal bias?  What Liberal bias, right Libs?  lol

The media’s shameless bias is no big secret.  There’s an old Republican truism that the mainstream media’s Liberal bias gives the Democrats a 15-point handicap in any given election.  Problem is we haven’t yet found a way to prove it quantitatively.  Until now.  In his book Left Turn, Professor Tim Groseclose has gathered the thousands upon thousands of data points necessary to prove not only how the mainstream media is biased Left, but also how this distorts the American mind and affects their voting choices.

“The data shows that yes, they are indeed Liberal.”

Notice, he waited until he had tenure to release his findings!  And here he says that without Liberal bias in the media, your average U.S. state would vote like Texas or Tennessee!

A Tale of two parties: The hecklers

Those Teabaggers are so HATEFUL and so ANGRY.  Or at least that’s how the Dems and their allies in the media like to portray them.  As evidence they provide the following where some Tea Party activists confront Obama about alleged reports that Vice-President Biden called the Tea Party a bunch of terrorists to whip up support for the debt limit deal.

That’s it?  They sounded pretty civilized to me.  Sure, they were persistent, but their tone was even and level, and they let him speak.  How incredibly presidential Barack might have sounded if he had acknowledged their grievances and then apologized on behalf of Joe Biden and the rest of this administration’s hatchet men and attack dogs who have so lowered the bar on political discourse in this country over the last three years.  He is the “Healer in Chief”, here to bring a “new tone”, is he not?  lol. But that’s just not how Obama is built.  When he’s off script, it’s back to his old Chicago Way.  And yet this mild little incident is what the Dems are currently shopping around to prove how extreme and “terroristic” those baggers are.  Pretty thin gruel if you ask me.

Now let’s compare and contrast that episode with how wild-eyed Leftists deal with the other side.  This was how they heckled and harangued one of the GOP frontrunners, Mitt Romney, at the Iowa State Fair:

Savages.  And yet it’s the Teabaggers who are the angry, violent ones.  Uh huh, sure.

The fact is that Liberalism never made somebody a better person.  It hasn’t, and here you have more proof.  For all their protestations about caring for “the poor” (i.e., themselves), it’s not an ideology that places very much emphasis on codes of personal behavior, which is why they can do whatever they damn well please and never be accused of hypocrisy.  Conservatism, on the other hand, does emphasize personal behavior, which is why anybody on the Right who falls short of their standard is condemned by the Left as a “hypocrite”.  A good Lib has no such dilemma, and that’s why they can behave as childishly as they want and still regard themselves as a paragon of secular progressive virtue, as long as they have the correct beliefs. Especially when the target of their bile is one of those eeeevil Reichwingers.

That’s why there are hecklers, and then there are hecklers.

NBC Reporter to Obama: “We got nothing.”

Regarding the budget deal, NBC correspondent and JournOlist, Nora O’Donnell, lets her thoroughly biased, and hopelessly-in-the-tank-for-Obama Liberal slip show:

“You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing!”

Bias?  What bias!

By “them” she obviously means those NASTY and BRUTISH orcs of the Tea Party, and by “we” she means the progressive and forward-thinking Light Bringers of the Democrat media complex.  Of course, when I say in the tank for Obama I mean they’ll carry anybody’s water who’s against the American rightwing.  They’re not actually very happy with the O right now.  He’s not Liberal enough.

During the budget debates, the Liberal media (redundant, I know) savaged the Tea Party as ignorant, irrational terrorists.  Yes, terrorists.  Funny, that’s the exact same language Joe Biden used.  But they’re not biased, nooo, of course not.

For a quick study on how the thoroughly corrupt Democrat media complex hatches their anti-conservative, anti-GOP narratives, click here.

Hollywood’s radical lefties Emerge from the closet

State funded Lefty propaganda

Sesame Street and Friends ‘pumping out left wing messages’

It isn’t paranoia when they really are out to get you.  It’s no longer a conspiracy theory when they admit to it.  Below, admitted and confessed cultural marxism in action from our friends in the entertainment industry:

The TV series Friends undermined family values; Sesame Street taught ethnic minorities about civil disobedience; Happy Days had a subtle anti-Vietnam subtext; and the 1980s cop show MacGyver tried to persuade pistol-packing Americans that guns are bad.  That is the considered opinion of Ben Shapiro, an investigative author and right-wing columnist who will publish a detailed expose tomorrow telling how Hollywood producers, writers and actors have been secretly using TV to promote what he calls a “radical” left-leaning political agenda.  Shapiro’s book, Primetime Propaganda revolves around comments by 70-odd industry heavyweights he approached for interviews.

The book promises to “profile the biggest names in showbusiness over the past 50 years” and includes a series of “gotcha” moments, in which the architects of the best-watched TV shows of modern times tell how they tried to use the medium of broadcasting to, as Shapiro puts it, “shape America in their own leftist image”.

“I was shocked by the openness of the Hollywood crowd when it came to admitting anti-conservative discrimination inside the industry,” Shapiro said. “They weren’t ashamed of it. In fact, some were actually proud of it.”  The book’s contents will only add weight to allegations – often aired by conservative Americans – that Hollywood is the exclusive domain of leftie propagandists.

Among Shapiro’s most revelatory interviewees is Marta Kauffman, the co-creator of Friends, who recalls how she hired a “bunch of liberals” to run the programme to “put out there what we believe”.  In 1999, she admitted casting the actress sister of Newt Gingrich, the prominent Republican, to play a preacher at a lesbian wedding because she wanted to annoy conservatives.  “When we did the lesbian wedding, we knew there was going to be some flak,” said Kauffman. “I have to say, when we cast Candice Gingrich as the minister of that wedding, there was a bit of a ‘f*** you’ in it to the right-wing, directly.”

Elsewhere in the book, Vin DiBona, the producer of MacGyver, agrees that Hollywood has a liberal bias, saying “I’m happy about it, actually.” The cult cop show advanced an anti-gun agenda, he added. “That was the whole premise of the programme, that MacGyver used his brain power and skill and science, and solved all the difficulties through ingenuity. No guns, no knives.”

Not just a comedy about military camaraderie, M*A*S*H also had a pacifist agenda, the show’s co-creator and director Gene Reynolds told Shapiro, who said: “We wanted to point out the wastefulness of war.”  And, with regard to Happy Days, writer Bill Bickley said he “had a whole subtext” attacking the Vietnam War. “If you really look for it, you can find it.”

The book is perhaps at its most condemnatory when accusing the creators of Sesame Street of attempting to brainwash young children. It quotes Mike Dann, one of the show’s founding executives, saying it “was not made for the sophisticated or the middle class”.  Early episodes featured the character Grover breaking bread with a hippie. Oscar, who lived in a rubbish bin, was supposed to address “conflicts arising from racial and ethnic diversity”.

Sesame Street tried to tackle divorce, tackled ‘peaceful conflict resolution’ in the aftermath of 9/11 and had [gay actor] Neil Patrick Harris on the show playing the subtly named ‘fairy shoeperson’,” notes Shapiro.  As to whether there may be a touch of McCarthy-esque paranoia about his belief that film-makers are planting the seed of socialism in the bosom of America, he adds: “It’s not paranoid to speak the truth. Hollywoodites admit openly to messaging their product, and to their scorn for [conservatives].”

Now, you may believe it’s just fine and dandy that Hollywood is promoting what you consider a worthy cause or sound worldview.  That’s fine.  Just show us a shred of intellectual honesty and stop denying that’s what they’re doing, mkay?

“Journalists are needed to enlighten people and guide them towards proper understanding of the world.”

Liberal accuses Sarah Palin of Making the Story About Herself

Sarah Palin can’t win.  If she does nothing, she’s trashed.  If she responds, she’s trashed as well.  Her enemies circle her like a pack of hyenas around a lioness, waiting for an opening to strike and draw blood.  Here conservative champion Charles Krauthammer easily handles Mark Shield’s insinuation that Palin had “inserted” herself into the Tucson shooting story, and exposes the media for the LIBERAL WHORES they really are.  Not a Palin fan here, but she gets my vote come election time.  These people have to be stopped.

NY Times Caught LYING about Jared Loughner

Leftwing pothead: Jared Loughner

From the word Go, the Left has been trying to shape a thoroughly dishonest and indefensible narrative on the Tucson, AZ shootings, with one goal in mind: pin it on the Right.  So far I haven’t seen anything that rises above mere opinion piece and editorializing (all of them pathetic distortion), none of which I take very seriously.  But this one crosses the line, and it’s all the more egregious because it comes from The New York Times (the Left’s “paper of record”).  This isn’t mere opinion, simple bias, or honest mistake.  This LIE was reported as FACT, and they did it KNOWINGLY.  Here they are trying to link this clearly insane anti-war, Satan-worshipping, Leftwing pothead to Sarah Palin and the conservative pro-Life movement.

First, how ABC News reported the story based on testimony from Jared Loughner’s classmates:

“‘One day (Loughner) started making comments about terrorism and laughing about killing the baby,’ classmate Don Coorough told ABC News, referring to a discussion about abortions. ‘The rest of us were looking at him in shock … I thought this young man was troubled.’

“Another classmate, Lydian Ali, recalled the incident as well.

“‘A girl had written a poem about an abortion. It was very emotional and she was teary eyed and he said something about strapping a bomb to the fetus and making a baby bomber,’ Ali said.”

And now the NY Times inversion:

“After another student read a poem about getting an abortion, Mr. Loughner compared the young woman to a ‘terrorist for killing the baby.'”

Liberal Fascism: Talk radio under siege

Watch for this one.  Leftists never let a crisis go to waste.  Jared Loughner is simply too valuable an opportunity for them.  He could turn things around for Obama, and for flagging Liberalism.  Or so they believe.  It’s not enough that they utterly control print media and television, as well as Academia and Hollywood.  They must control it ALL.  Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C), one of the most frenzied voices in the wake of the Arizona shooting says we need to bring back the so-called Fairness Doctrine.  He wants “balanced coverage” (but only on AM radio, nowhere else), and he says attacking the Left is “incitement” and tantamount to “yelling fire in a crowded theater.”  Because Leftists don’t use “heated rhetoric.” Of course not!  Only conservatives do.

Return of the Fairness Doctrine

COLUMBIA — U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn, the third-ranking Democrat in Congress, said Sunday the deadly shooting in Arizona should get the country thinking about what’s acceptable to say publicly and when people should keep their mouths shut.

Clyburn said he thinks vitriol in public discourse led to a 22-year-old suspect opening fire Saturday at an event Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords held for her constituents in Tucson, Ariz. Six people were killed and 14 others were injured, including Giffords.

The shooting is cause for the country to rethink parameters on free speech, Clyburn said from his office, just blocks from the South Carolina Statehouse. He wants standards put in place to guarantee balanced media coverage with a reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine, in addition to calling on elected officials and media pundits to use ‘better judgment.’

‘Free speech is as free speech does,’ he said. ‘You cannot yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater and call it free speech and some of what I hear, and is being called free speech, is worse than that.’  Clyburn used as an example a comment made by Sharron Angle, an unsuccessful U.S. senatorial candidate in Nevada, who said the frustrated public may consider turning to ‘Second Amendment remedies’ for political disputes unless Congress changed course.

Clyburn said the man accused of shooting Giffords did just that.  ‘He saw a Second Amendment remedy and that’s what occurred here and there is no way not to make that connection,’ Clyburn said.  Despite Clyburn’s position, law enforcement has not yet revealed any motives in the shooting.  Clyburn has been the most outspoken of the state’s congressional delegation on the shooting.

U.S. Rep. Tim Scott, the 1st District Republican, said the Fairness Doctrine would stifle free speech and be harmful to the public, but he would say little on the matter beyond that. Engaging in a partisan conversation is not appropriate now, Scott said, because the focus of Saturday’s shooting should remain on prayer for the victims.

‘A 9-year-old little girl is gone and the Fairness Doctrine is not going to bring her back,’ Scott said.

“Obama needs an Oklahoma Moment”

Rahm Emmanuel says never let a crisis go to waste. If you’re wondering what’s driving the current Leftist stampede to blame conservatives for Jared Loughner, this is why– he is an OPPORTUNITY.  Former Clinton adviser, Mark Penn, said President Obama needs an event like the Oklahoma City bombing to reconnect him with the voters.  How despicable to even articulate such a thing, yet notice Chris Matthews doesn’t bat an eyelash.  Well, they got their event, and it’s an opportunity they don’t intend on wasting.

Israeli Forest Fires an Act of Terrorism?

Israel has forests?  Apparently so, and they have been decimated by forest fires.  Muslim yutes have been arrested. I say ‘Muslim’–rather than Arab– in order to be precise. Christian Arabs aren’t engaging in acts of terrorism against Israel, or anywhere else for that matter.  Even in that country– as is the case here in the West– the media tries to downplay ethnicity/religion when the culprits are suspected of being Muslim. They are more afraid of non-existent “backlash” than of actual terrorism.  Nevertheless, it has not yet been proven that these forest fires were intentional.

Press Low-Key on Wave of Arson by Israel’s Arabs

The IDF has released video footage shot from an IAF aircraft, which shows a vehicle escaping from the scene of an arson attack on the Carmel Mountain. The conversation on the radio, in Hebrew, is between pilots and police. The pilots report that they have received word from a firefighting aircraft that spotted the vehicle leaving the scene of an act of arson, near a spot called the Muhraka. The aircraft follows the vehicle – a Renault Kangoo – until it is stopped by police cars.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Despite this video, news of the wave of arson is seeping into the public consciousness mostly through smaller news sources and by word of mouth.  Police said the main conflagration in the Carmel Mountains was unintentionally caused by a group of youth from Ossafiya.  According to a report on Channel 2 news, the youths lit a fire as part of a nocturnal picnic and did not put it out properly before leaving the site. Later reports said that while most of the residents of Ossafiya are Druze, the youths who were arrested are Arabs.

However, Channel 2‘s website also carries a report that Border Police arrested two Arabs, one an Israeli citizen and the other from the Palestinian Authority, who tried to start a fire near Jerusalem on Saturday night. The two were caught in a ravine near the “tunnels checkpoint” at the entrance to the neighborhood of Gilo.  Citizens who passed through the checkpoint noticed the suspects and reported their activity to security forces. A Border Police team identified the two trying to set a fire, called on them to stop and fired four shots in the air. The suspects tried to escape in a vehicle but were arrested after a short chase.  A short time later, a 34-year-old Arab man was arrested near Dodge Junction close to Nazareth. He was taken to interrogation.  The volunteer “New HaShomer” land security group also placed ambushes in key locations. On Friday it reported several arrests, via text messages that it sent to its volunteer guards.

The News1 website reported that Radio Haifa interviewed several people who witnessed car horn-honking and other acts of public celebration in the Arab village of Furadis, south of Haifa, after news of the tragedy became known Thursday.  According to the report, Arab citizens uploaded to a Facebook account gruesome photographs of charred bodies of victims. Other Arabs expressed their feelings by clicking “like.” The police are said to be investigating the matter and the Facebook page is said to have been closed.

However, the pictures have already begun making the rounds worldwide. A group called “Mujahedeen of Palestine,” identified with Al-Qaeda, put the pictures of the bodies on a YouTube video. The video includes text that says “Muhammad’s lions” came out at night to set alight the land of the “occupiers.”

UPDATE: The Jewish National Fund is taking donations here to help replant the forests decimated by the fires.

UPDATE: A 14-year-old boy arrested Monday has admitted to setting the fire accidentally and was now the main suspect, said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.  The boy told police he had been smoking a water pipe Thursday and threw some burning coals into an open area in the Carmel forest. He said he panicked, fled the scene and returned to school without telling anyone, Rosenfeld said.

The Sarah Palin Myth

What’s the big deal about Sarah Palin? Seriously, it’s like I live in an alternate universe when people are talking about her. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Sarah Palin the person or the politician, but I can’t quite wrap my mind around the Palin phenomenon. I don’t understand why some conservatives are so crazy about her. I suppose it’s a response to the Liberal derangement?  And what’s with the frothing at the mouth, Libs?  But I get exactly why the Lib MEDIA continues to propagate her myth– they know she can’t win in a general election.

FBI: More hate crimes against Jews, Christians than against Muslims

This one deserves CCHQ’s front page again given the hits it’s been getting.  After 20 years spent driving Christianity out of the public square, Progressives finally found a religion they can stand behind.  According to Time magazine, America is an Islamophobic country.  The article makes every effort to prove its case against the American people, but doesn’t lift a finger to understand the reasons why you might be afraid of Islam.  That kind of empathetic “nuance” they reserve only for our enemies and for their precious “the other”, especially when it can be used to further their Leftwing agenda.

But this time they may have a point.  Certainly in my own case, Islam scares the daylights out of me.  I canna tell a lie.  Islam is an expansionist, imperialist, totalitarian ideology, and history attests to this fact.  So there’s a real reason why folks are scared.  It’s not just “racism.”  That doesn’t mean I hate Muslims or treat them any differently than I would somebody else– any more than I would have treated a Russian less humanely during the Cold War.  In fact, I believe Islam should be viewed as we did Communism during the Cold War– as an existential threat to Western civilization.  The Constitution prevents us from discriminating on the basis of religion, so our response to this threat will be severely limited.  But that shouldn’t blind us to the threat Islam poses to the West either.

Yet despite our fear of Islamization, it doesn’t follow that we are going to chase Muslims down in the street and lynch them on sight.  They are as safe in our cities as your average Russian was during the Cold War.  And FBI statistics bear that out.

This morning there was a report that a cab driver in New York was stabbed because he was Muslim. While the facts are still emerging, all reasonable people can agree this is a shameful and un-American act if this proves to be true.

This incident will undoubtedly be used by the media to further push the narrative that the controversy over the Mosque near Ground Zero in New York shows how Americans are bigoted against Muslims. So here’s some clarifying info from the FBI. According to the latest hate crime statistics available, there were 1,606 hate crime offenses motivated by religious bias in 2008.  A closer look shows 65.7 percent of them were committed against Jews. Against Muslims? 7.7 percent.

Depending on which population estimates you accept for Muslims (anywhere between 4 and 7 million), hate crimes are committed against Jews at a rate three to eight times greater than against Muslims. Yet something tells me that despite all these hard numbers — as opposed to Time’sanecdotal evidence” –  that magazine is not going to run a cover anytime soon asking, “Is America Anti-Semitic?

After 9/11, there was a quick spike in anti-Muslim hate crimes — there were 28 in 2000, then 155 in 2002. In 2008, there were 123.  Even one hate crime is too many, but consider: Between 2 and 4 of every 100,000 Muslims was a hate crime victim in 2008. The murder rate in D.C. last year was about 24 for every 100,000 residents.

Another interesting data point: 4.7 percent of hate crimes in 2008 were motivated by anti-Catholic bias. Another 3.7 percent were anti-Protestant. So from a raw numbers perspective, there were more hate crimes against Christians in America in 2008 than there were against Muslims. Given our large Christian population, it’s true that each Christian is far less likely to be victimized, but the numbers still show that religious haters have not been singling out Muslims.

Rachel Maddow blasts Fox News From Her glass House

It’s official: Olberman Worst Person in the World

Olbermann canned over what?  MSNBC’s decision is a genuine head-scratcher.  His over the top partisanship is no secret, so of all the great reasons to fire Keith Olbermann, his political contributions strike me as the least of them.   His ratings are in the tank relative to his competitors, he alienates more than half his potential viewers with his over the top and poisonous drivel daily, and by all accounts he’s one of the most personally obnoxious people in the business, but they canned him for a couple of political contributions?  I don’t buy it for a sec.  They were looking for an excuse, and they found one.   Maintaining a semblance of objectivity is the LAST thing on MSNBC’s mind.  That channel has been nothing but a paid advertisement every single hour it is on air for the DNC and Progressive liberal agenda.  As John Nolte at Big Hollywood puts it:

And if you need another shining example of the rank stupidity of NBC’s policy regarding their staff’s political contributions — a policy that won’t allow them to contribute to the politician of their choice off the air but does allow them to contribute 24/7 in-kind contributions using the full power of the NBC/MSNBC network to relentlessly propagandize for the Left on the air  – look no further than here. Olby’s replacement had to be replaced, as though the editor of The Nation donating $250 to some Illinois Dem will somehow undercut his journalistic integrity. The NBC/MSNBC Emperor has no clothes journalistic integrity, but in order to prove he does, the network is killing off emperors. If the network wants to repair their irreparable reputation, someone might suggest they exert more control over what they allow their employees to broadcast and less over their personal affairs.

MSNBC is melting down and there just isn’t enough popcorn to pop, is there?

My guess is his firing was the result of a personal vendetta against him, or perhaps a decision based on ratings (what took them so long?).  Again, a guess, but methinks MSNBC senses the political winds shifting again and wants to raise itself out of the ratings cellar that is Leftwing politics, and this was the only way they could rid themselves of him without alienating their most rabidly Leftwing viewers (“a decision based on principle, not ratings or ideology”).  Here, Queef Uberdouche– who claims not to vote as a “symbolic gesture” (what an absurd little man he is) –rails on Fox News for shilling for Republicans.  Worst. Person. Ever.  Bar none.

Your’re Fired! Producers Involved in Alaska “Phonegate” Canned

Filed under: Media Bias — Tags: — Jesusland @ 17:53

Bias?  What bias!  lol.  From the “JournOlist” files, remember that CBS affiliate caught on tape plotting to smear Joe Miller right before election day?  The scum got what they deserved.  Buahaha!

“KTVA today released findings of its internal assessment of allegations that the “news director for CBS Anchorage affiliate KTVA, along with assignment editor Nick McDermott, and other reporters, openly discussed creating, if not fabricating, two stories about Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Joe Miller,” as alleged by the Miller campaign. KTVA states that its review included multiple staff interviews, a review of that day’s actual news coverage and a forensic transcript of the recorded audio conversation.

General Manager Jerry Bever stated, “As we worked through this fact-finding process we noted that actual story assignments for that day had already been decided before the recorded conversation took place. At no time did any of the elements associated with the recorded comments become part of any coverage or broadcast.  The recorded conversation in question specifically involved how that evening’s Miller rally might be promoted and the ensuing dialogue went down hill from there. These particular comments were not in line with KTVA standards.”

As a result of this incident, the two producers involved in the recorded conversation are no longer with the station. As a matter of policy KTVA did not identify the staff members involved, however KTVA clarified that neither the News Director, Assignment Editor Nick McDermott nor any other KTVA reporters were involved in the recorded conversation as previously reported by the Miller campaign.

KTVA believes that its actual broadcast coverage of Miller has been sound and fair during this election cycle and the history of our coverage speaks for itself. Bever noted that in the coverage of this issue, FOX News correspondent Dan Springer reported that in a review of recent Miller coverage by KTVA, Fox News could not find any articles or stories that showed any obvious bias or hit pieces against Joe Miller.

How many of these assclowns still have steady jobs in our newsrooms simply because they haven’t been caught red-handed yet.

Chris Matthews, then and Now

What a difference an election can make.  Here is Chris “thrill up my leg” Matthews on Obama in ’08.  That was then:

Chris Matthews then: “I felt this thrill going up my leg.”

This is Chris Matthews now.  The thrill is gone as he explains to Andrea Mitchell how President Obama blew it.  He is biased to the core, but at least he’s intellectually honest in his bias.  That’s more than we can say about Andrea Mitchell who epitomizes everything that is wrong with modern journOlism:

Chris Matthews now: Telemprompters, elitism, lecturing from Obama.

CBS Affiliate Conspiring to Smear Tea Party Candidate?

Here’s the tape Sarah Palin was talking about.  It’s garbled as hell, but the CBS affiliate concedes it’s real, and their own explanation rings entirely false.  They say they were ordering their reporters to “review what-if scenarios, discussing the likelihood of events at the rally and how KTVA might logistically disseminate any late-breaking news.”  Yeah, a sex offender at a Joe Miller rally is a “what-if scenario” they need to plan for.  Uh huh.  Sure.

As always, you be the judge:

FEMALE REPORTER: That’s up to you because you’re the expert, but that’s what I would do…I’d wait until you see who showed up because that indicates we already know something…[Laughter] [INAUDIBLE]

FEMALE REPORTER: Child molesters…

MALE REPORTER: Oh yeah… can you repeat Joe Miller’s…uh… list of people, campaign
workers, which one’s the molester? [INAUDIBLE]

FEMALE VOICE: We know that out of all the people that will show up tonight, at least one of them will be a registered sex offender.[Laughter]

MALE REPORTER: You have to find that one person… [INAUDIBLE]

FEMALE REPORTER: And the one thing we can do is ….we won’t know….we won’t know but if there is any sort of chaos whatsoever we can put out a twitter/facebook alert: saying what the… ‘Hey Joe Miller punched at rally.’

FEMALE REPORTER: Kinda like Rand Paul…I like that. [Laughter] That’s a good one.
